LATCH information architecture

Location

New Zealand as the biggest map, with Australia and Pacific islands pulled out too. Globe in corner that is able to be rotated and places selected. Also a searchbar for location to be inputted.

Alphabetical

The categories on this website are organised alphabetically within the main drop down menu.

Categorical

The New York Times has a standard categorical system as a header menu, and a drop down menu.

Hierarchy

I included LinkedIn Learning as a hierarchical categorisation because when I first signed up I had to pick topics I was most interested in, and now the website suggests courses that they think are most relevant to me and my interests.

Time

This website shows the latest headlines in order of latest/newest.

User flow images

Goal: to find the article about the man stabbed to death in a Christchurch social housing unit.
